Web 2.0 tools offer teachers ways to create rubrics, quizzes,
puzzles, and a whole lot more. It is a simple as creating an account and
choosing from the array of choices of what a teacher wants the document to be
about. Some have categories you can choose from that automatically fill in the information
in the format that you can also preselect. This is a great tool and would make
the life of any teacher a lot easier and less time consuming.
Web 2.0 tools can be implemented in the classroom by
creating blogs, podcasts, social bookmarking, and photo sharing.
- A blog is a webpage that can contain text, images, and different links in which teachers can use to communicate with students and parents about classroom assignments, projects, homework, and a lot more.
- Podcasts are used to create and share multimedia. Classrooms can share new information and even lectures.
- Social bookmarking is website that people mark because they believe it is important or just view it as a favorite website. This would be a great way for a teacher to provide additional website for research, projects, drill practice, and a lot more.
- Photo sharing is a great tool to for posting photos to an online account to share with others. This would be a great way for teachers to take pictures of classroom projects to share with parents.
- As a teacher, I am going to want to utilize all these tools. I believe this going to not only benefit me, but all my students, and their parents as well.
